It is not a "Canadian Pharmacy". You would NEVER get a call from Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, London Drugs, etc. NEVER. The fact that it's a VOIP number tells me that they are probably in the Carribean. Was featured on CBS 60 minutes. It's a scam. Phone number spoofing is so common now they could be anywhere in the world.
I got a call from them also. I believe that they are connected to "Canadian Pharmacy," an internet peddler of Viagra and the like. They incessantly harass people. I've had to call block over 20 numbers from them, asked them to never call me, filed online complaints with the FCC and on and on. None of these things work. They rotate their numbers and continue. They've apparently hired some miserable telemarketing firm in India to do their work - the callers always have an Indian accent.
I just got a call from them, the ID said Aberdeen MD. When I answered nobody spoke. If it is the drug guys from India, they have been calling me for years literally. The caller ID shows a multitude of different things. I usually don't answer if I don't recognize the number anymore. They don't care about No Call lists the FCC or anybody else. I have also plugged in their number to block but again they show different numbers all the time. Sometimes I chat with them and ask them stupid questions, suggest they send me free samples, tell them I am gay and my partner needs the meds not me. My wife had spoken to them but they still call. I figure as long as I am keeping them on the line they aren't bothering anyone else and I usually have time to play with them. I sometimes just put them on hold and walk away. None of it does any good.
Also got a call, I'm guessing she said Canadian, I couldn't quite understand with the thick Indian accent and the poor audio connection, but definitely said "Pharmacy" and "I've got a great deal for you"... at which point I explained that I had never done business with their company, the number they called is a cell phone number on the national do not call lists. I finished by stating very clearly "Put me on your do not call list" and they hung up.
SAME THING..DELAY IN ANSWERING, ASKED REPEADEDLY FOR THEM TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AND SHE KEPT MIS PRONOUNCING MY NAME UNTIL SHE APPARENTLY BECAME FRUSTRATED AND HUNG UP. FIRST CALL OF THIS TYPE SO CAN'T VERIFY WHO THEY WERE SPECIFICALLY BUT CERTAIN IT WAS A FOREIGN TELEMARKETER WITH AN ABERDEEN, MD. CALLER ID.
One of three calls I have received today alone from BS companies that consistently call my cell phone. I rarely answer them. When I do, I do not say a word and they hang up with 2 seconds. I am on the worthless do not call list. There's no way I could have the time to report everyone of these calls to the FCC. I hardly doubt they would do a thing about it anyway.
