This was a call looking for somebody I never heard of, saying there was a civil action filed and they needed to serve legal documents. This is obviously a scam, since any firm serving legal documents would NEVER call ahead.
Legal Action has been filed in civil court call another number and give them this file number xyz etc... to settle the claim before it goes to trial or you go to jail. Really? Process servers show up on your door step, lawsuits are sent certified mail, civil suits for uncollected debt are handled at the magistrate level with an appearance prior to going to the county or state courts. There is a specific process that must be followed and a phone call telling someone that they have been sued is not it. Skip Tracers looking for someone that may or may not be the right person that they just called, these are private collection agencies that are popping up in basements and garages; for unsecured debt that has been bought and sold off many times; not the original creditor. Please beware folks.
I have to laugh at these people........I paid everything off my credit In the past 2.5 years and my score is 796, I don't owe anything to anyone. do these people really think we just this dumb to pay something over the phone that we don't owe and haven't received anything by mail that we owe. seriously why do you need my address, if you legit you should already have all that info since I owe you money..........I download this app MRNUMBER very easy app to you......YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN BLOCKEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.................I WILL NOT BE YOUR VICTIM
