I just receive the same call but from a lady known as janelle mae. she called my daughter and informed her that they will be serving me a summons for a payday loan tomorrow between 3 and 5 and if I am not home they will be serving the summons at my job. I told her I will be calling her back after I do a little research and of course when I tried to call back, I get an answering machine. I was given her direct number which is 1-443-244-9353, which was the number I called back. The nerve of them calling my family and if I did owe a debt 24hrs is not time enough to pay it even if I wanted to.. Now that I think about it, she did not even give me the CO name only her name and direct phone number...
Got a private caller phone message on 10/14/15 from an Angie Loch. Said she was an independent process server from Clark County Nevada. Was going to serve me a summons on 10/15 between 3 and 5. If I was not home they would go to my place of employment to serve me. I was to have my Nevada drivers license available for ID. If I had questions I could call 443-453-5126 and she gave me a case number. If they could not serve me, the court date would proceed. She did not even have my right name plus I do not live in Nevada. I blocked my number and called 443-453-5126. After many attempts of hearing only music and then a recording that I could leave a message, I was able to talk to a man on 10/15. He wanted my phone number and wouldn't tell me what the call was about only that he was from NRS Mgmt. He got very belligerent when i wouldn't give him my phone number and I kept pressing him on what this company was. I had given him the case number so he should have had all the information he needed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he then hung up on me. On 10/15 I got another private caller phone message from Angie Loch stating this was my final notification and she would be serving my summons. (The voice recording of this Angie Lock sounded different from the voice recording on 10/14.) I picked up the phone during her message and asked her who she was and what company she was working for. She would only say she was a private contract process server. I told her that I was not even the person she was looking for and from what I had read online that they were scammers and I was going to call my local police. She said she would take my name off their list and hung up. I did report this to my local police. I could not find anything online in Clark County relating to the case number she gave me. I also did a reverse number look up and there was no result only that it is an area code in the Baltimore Md. area. I believe these people are probably debt scammers.
1. A real process server would not warn you of a summon is coming.
There would not be a court date until a summons is issued.
2. It is illegal to claim to be a government employee if they are not.
3. Calling from Nevada with a Maryland area code!!
4. Refusing to give information - violation of the FDCPA!
I got the same phone call from the same Lady. I can't seem to get anyone by the phone number they left. Just music being played, no message machine. They called all my family members with the same threatening message. I have repeating tried to call them with no answer. It is a huge scam trying to threaten me and many others. They don't care how they make you feel. I have contacted both Sheriff and local police and they are aware of this. I hope they are contacted by the proper authorities and taken down. Stupid people!
