left no message
when called back, I got a recorded message which did not identify the caller as the beginning was clipped off. The message ended with "to be put on our do not call list press one now" and then a disconnect.
I got a call on my home phone from this number but my caller ID said DISHNET. I love technology and all but am sad at the devious ways in which it is used for criminal purpose.
The ID I get with this is Dundalk MD. I get so many of these annoying sales/nuisance calls, I'm even running out of space on my call blocking on Comcast now. There must be some comeback on these people, if for no other reason than they are waisting valuable time, money and air for those of us trying to find employment/keep our heads above water and escape from the banks and the "investment professionals" that we have previously trusted with our money. Please make certain you never answer the phone to anything that is unusual or not a number you know. You only feed the beast if you do.
Humm, I received a call from this number identifying herself as Erin Wineguard from Relief Services. However, the caller ID indicated the call was from Dishnet. She stated she had spoken with me before (NOT TRUE) and according to my file I qualify for a interest free loan (right!) She left the number to contact her at 866-250-3609. I absolutly never answer these calls and I monitored how many I have received in 1-1/2 weeks...24 and counting! I would like to add a word of precaution, I googled a number recently and usually only favor two websites to get information. Although, one caught my eye and when I clicked on it and a screen immediately appeared with the notice my computer was infected with a virus. The media has reported simular cases on how the conficker (SP?) worm is spread through bogus anti-virus programs to buy. Just wanted to pass that along for all our safety! I just have to wonder if they call us not only to try and retrieve personal information by phone but also know that many of us google these numbers. Do you think they have plan B to infect us with this crippling virus that retrieves our personal information anyway once we buy these bogus products. Humm!!!
