These phone calls never end even if you listen to thw whole message and select the option to turn down the offer. The recording says they are from "The National Center for Aging" which does not exist if you check the internet. They say they will give you a free alert system and $3,000 of "gift coupons" if you ask them to send the package to you. Supposedly your "Doctor" has identified you as old and in need of this system which is inaccurate. You can never get rid of them. I have called a US government agency on this (I forget which one) and nothing was ever done. Maybe I did not even reach the right US agency. This is why we should keep the new Consumer Agency that was created under Obama when Elizabeth Warren was working on it. There are plenty of government business and commerce assistance programs but very few consumer programs. There has got to be a way to stop these scams. The free market economists would just say "laissez-faire" but the wise consumer would reply "caveat emptor". My aunt used to get harrassing phone calls and we eventually had to get her a whole new phone line and number. This is why REGULATIONS and INSPECTION and ENFORCEMENT is necessary.
