Got a text tonight at 10:15 asking if I still had the item I had listed on Craigslist. Knew it was a scam right away but messed around with them for about a half hour before telling them what a piece of crap they are. Have no tolerance for people trying to steal other people's hard earned stuff. Hopefully karma catches up with them in the very near future.
Craigslist scam trying to send money by check to buy item for sale. everyone should know the check will be a fraud and you will be out the money, the item and owe your bank.
I told this person I would not release the item for sale until his check cleared my bank and I never heard from them again.
Yeah, I just posted something for sale on Craigslist and got a text from them stating the same thing "plant o send the money in a bank check and usps it to you, then will arrange for pick up after check clears" This sounded very odd which is why I decided to research the number online. I am glad you posted this plus it looks like a lot of telemarketing calls come from the same number to. Definitely a SCAM!
I too posted something for sale on Craig's List and received the exact text Tifffany noted above. Definitely some red flags associated with this phone number.
I received a call from this number this morning. Was unable to answer then it rang again and seen it was this number now twice calleding. But after reading the complaints they had been asling things on Craigslist. So is my husband asling stuff. So I am assuming that's why they called my number.
