This number apparently is legitimate although annoying. Thinking it was supporting the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police, I sent an email to the FOP office to check. The response was "The telephone number you supplied, 443-853-1182 is a telephone line used by our professional fundraiser. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me directly. I remain, Sincerely, Earl R. 2nd call today using a different phone ID. Blocked first scam call and now 2nd scam call. they never leave a message and they always are directed to the answering machine as we never answer unknown calls. As of today we have changed our system to a single ring gets the answering machine. Family and friends are going to have to be patient.
The second call from this lowlife FOP scammer today with 2 different numbers...both calls within 20 minutes of each other. As I've stated before on this site, I have family members who are police officers and they're not aware of any legitimate FOP lodge that solicits funds in this manner...it's just a thief trying to steal credit card info.
