I recieved a letter in the mail stating that I had won 53,950 dollars from gold fortune lottery along with letter came a check in the amount of 2580. In the letter it stated that all I needed to do to claim the rest of my money was simply cash this check and call the number above to recieve orders on where to send the money in order to cover the lawyer fees for tax purposes. I cashed the check everything checked out to be fine so I did the western union process and sent the money to a gentlemen in New York they even had the fees figured out in that check so I wouldnt have to come out of pocket for anything. when I tried calling this lady back to find out when this lawyer would be contacting me she hung up on me several times and than she said a couple of times to hold on while you transfered me to him. I'm not sure if this is a scam just yet going to give it a couple of more days before I go to authorities right now all im trying to do is make sure that people are aware of this.

yeah, my guy friend and i also recieved a letter in the mail for exactly the same amount of money and a check. when we called the lady at the number indicated, she told us about the taxes and the lawyer, however, she said someone would be delivering the check to us and would check our id's to verify we were who we said we were. nothing was said about mailing a check to a new york lawyer or anything about cashing it, but everything else has been identical to what has happened to us. just checking back to see if it's a scam or not. really nervous.
I also received this letter and the lady said the same thing to me, the phone numer is (450)675-7715, but I haven't do anything, i was checking this company thru the lottery companies and it does not exist, so people be aware of this. those people are layer.
not sure if it's a scam if it is why would they send me a check to send to there lawyer to access the money would'nt it be better if they got me to pay out my own pocket. I cashed the check it went through and have'nt heard anything back on it it's been about two weeks since I cashed it. I'm waiting to see what happens the lady that I spoke to her name was Jane Harrison.
