This phone recording is Compliments of DAN BRANCH...he's running for Attorney General in Texas. Where does political telemarketing fall under the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY laws? It is definitely solicitation...in this case they are attempting to sell a person, not an object! I called the number back and it is answered with a recorded message, stating that by FCC law they must offer an OPT OUT option. If you choose to opt out, first, you confirm the number that you received the call from, second, you enter your number and it's confirmed. It may take up to 72 hours to become effective.
