Spoofed phone number -- Recorded message, clearly directed at homeowners so automatically illegal. Bunch of [***] about "your current mortgage", and how there is a federal program to modify "your current mortgage" and prevent foreclosure. WHAT??? No distressed mortgage here.
So I played with the phone buttons... got voicemail for "a manager", and left a really rude and disgusting message. Pushed more buttons and got through to a "modification specialist" (one of the [***])... gave her an earful too.
These are outright criminals, and they know what they are doing is illegal. They'll steal your personal and financial information, and then screw-up your mortgage and take your house.
