For all of you who want to report this because you're on the Do Not Call list, don't bother. It's the biggest joke this country has ever created. I used to report calls all the time but I always got a response back that the call was spoofed (if you don't know what "spoofed calls" are, Google it. As a result they had no way of tracking the down the jerks who made them. What I've resorted to is simply putting my phone on "No Ringer" and letting them call away. The phone doesn't ring and they never leave a message anyway. My feeling is that if it's somebody important they will leave a message; if not, I don't worry about it. I check the phone periodically, and just delete the calls. It used to be that when they called and asked me to verify my phone number I would give them the phone number of my Congressman thinking that maybe once these slugs in Washington started getting them they would do something about it. After a while I even quit doing that. Again, let me say the DNC list is completely, absolutely, worthless.
I've been receiving calls from this number ever since I got my phone service. No one says anything. I would think that a telemarketer would be trying to sell something. I'm thinking that it's possibly some kind of automated dialer checking to see if the numbers dialed are active. Which will in turn be submitted to telemarketing companies. I've blocked the number but I fear the damage has already been done simply by answering the phone.
