Just called. Answering them will put your number on a registry. You will then start getting calls in spanish for a calling card service with no chance to remove yourself from their list. The calls come from numbers similar to your phone number. Same area code + 3 digits. The latter 4 digits will alternate.
I've been blocking them for months now. There's nothing AT&T can do to help with the situation. You can pay $5 mo for their blacklist service, but you would have to add each number to a manual list. If I had to add each one just with the 4 digit suffix change, we're talking 10,000 entries.
Step up your game AT&T. Either let us upload numbers by spreadsheet or upgrade your ability to fight spam calling.
