WARNING - DO NOT GIVE YOUR NUMBER AT ALL... THIS IS A ANOTHER SCAM. I got called, didn't answer and i called them back after they hung up. An opt out message came up (SOUNDED VERY PROFESSIONAL AND OFFICIAL LIKE ALL SCAMS DO) and at the end it asked me to give them the number that they where calling .... sounds legit? YES IT DOES!!!!! But is it? I don't think so ... why? Think about THIS .. You get a call, they don't answer and if they do, some people have said they have been offered a program to lower their credit rates???. Then if you call back all you get is an "opt out" message instead of a sales person? Aren't they interested is making a sale? Bottom line ... YOUR phone number and what ever can be fetch along the way with it is worth a lot of money in the right hands if not thousands. Remember ... the call is generated by a computerize dialer generating numbers at random so they have no way to knowing which numbers are valid therefore if you leave them your number you are instantly validating a number plus you are also giving them your number so it can be sold to a telemarketing company. Clever ah? IF YOU FALL FOR IT ... GET READY TO START RECEIVING UNWANTED CALLS FROM ALL KINDS OF TELEMARKETING COMPANIES FROM NOW 'TILL THE DAY YOU CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER. --- ALL JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS ... COINCIDENCE OR PREMEDITATED SCAM?
Caller: Card Services (458-201-0362)
Received the call on my cell. I answered and the recorded voice said it was "Card Services" calling to lower the interest rate on my CC. I pressed "1" to speak to operator. A male with an Indian accent started talking so I interrupted him to tell him to never call my number again and he promptly hung up on me.
I get calls very frequently from these jack-[***] on my land line but this was the first time getting a call on my cell. Now I'm really P.O.
What is the point of being on a "No Call" list? What a joke!
