I also bought a call blocker and not only do I block specific numbers but I also block entire area codes. Many of the calls (which are less and less lately even before the call blocker purchase) come from states where I have no family or friends so now I just block area codes. So if they decide to use a different area code from that state, zap, it gets blocked.
I would also suggest everyone who constantly receives calls from the same number to print up complaints, such as on this board, and mail them to the appropriate state attorney generals office. I worked for the phone company for 29 years and they can investigate and find out where these calls are coming from. Deluge the government offices with these scammers and something will get done.
