Strange unwanted call from this number. A woman asked if I was the lady of the house. I asked her who was calling, please. She replied, "This is the pro-life committee. We're working to save unborn babies from abortion". (I'm not involved in this issue one way or the other---no idea how they got my number). I just said 'OK'.
The woman then asked, "Would you characterize yourself as pro-life, pro-choice, or somewhere in between?" I said "Somewhere in between", figuring that might be the easiest way to get them to leave me alone. The lady said 'thank you', and hung up. (I really hope this isn't how political surveys are conducted). I'm actually pro-choice, but I wasn't in any mood to argue the subject with a total stranger. I also wanted to placate the caller, since she has my home phone number. Weird call!
