Answered the call. A recording breathlessly told me I had been approved for a free medic alert system and $3,000 in valuable food coupons. Press 1 to confirm my address. The phone number may be legit. I called it back and was offered the option to opt out of future solicitations. Why isn't the NSA tracking these calls instead of us normal law abiding citizens?
I got calls from at least 3other numbers offering the same deal. I answered one and asked to be removed from their list. They said ok. Guess why I'm posting today...
Yet another Med Alert Scam call. ID said MED. I did not pick up. Left no message. Added to block call list. Trouble is these guys keep changing numbers, so even call blocking is not working as well as it used to. I will never understand why it is so hard for the government to close these clowns down. It appears that the "Do not Call List" is a total waste of tax dollars. A simple "Google Search" can often get you the actual address of the caller. You can even then go to maps and see the building. If I can do it in 5 minutes why can't they?
