I entered three different numbers of calls received in the last few days and they all appear to be scams - this one included. How dumb do these people think we are? Thanks for this site to check them out.
6/24/15 11:46 PDT Another in the seemingly endless series of "free" medical alert buttons and $3,000 in grocery coupons I have qualified for is amazing. Probably at least 100 over the past couple of years. Will add to blocked list, but probably will just regenerate from another number almost immediately.
Please encourage anyone you know, who might be tempted to respond not to do that. Unfortunately there are some folks who don't have caller ID, so you can warn them to hang up on these scammers. Will leave type unknown because need category "scam".
The first time this call came through, I was on the line, so it went voice mail. When I checked voice mail, the recorded voice started talking about 'a senior citizen alert.' I erased the message. Less than an hour later, the same number - with a CID of Eugene, OR - rang through. This time, they hung up without leaving a VM message. This is the first scam call I've received that used an Oregon area code.
Got a scam call this morning offering senior in household free medical alert button and $3k worth groceries. I asked them to spell out their name out slowly. They hung up. Smells like BS to me even over wires.
