Usually robo callers don't leave a message. This one did...seniors over 65 free med alert. Same voice and message from 706-805-0601. Being a free enterprise country, these outfits have a lot of numbers to use; drop one and start anew with another. I've blocked this number on my Panasonic phone system....and reported it to the Fed DNC.
The Fed DNC list is only a joke if you don't report the calls to them. If you're registered at DNC, go back and read what it does and doesn't do. Think about it, how can the Fed block just certain numbers? But they can and will do something about it if they get enough complaints about a number.
Yet another one of these calls. Thankyou for those who responded. I don't answer calls I do not know, so for those of you who did, and wrote here who it was, thankyou to you. I've been getting a rash of these reported senior scam calls. They just change numbers. If they think you are a senior, then they must have some idea as to your year of birth if not your actual birthday. And that alone is too much of a breach of private information. I don't think they're calling just everyone. I think they are targeting people over 55 or so. So that means they have your birthday/yr, AND your phone number. And if your phone is unlisted and has been for years on end, then that means they have yet another breach of your private information.
Block if you can, but NEVER answer calls you do not recognize.
This is the second call from this number. There has been no voice contact on either call. My contact with the FCC resulted in a letter informing me that they appreciate the response and will analyze the call for further action. I can also take action on my own at my expense. I have been on the NO CALL LIST for years and it does not work.
Same old medical alert scam from one of the many numbers they use. I just wanted to mess with the service representative, so I did. Asked him which of my physicians referred them to me. He said he did not have that information and said they probably just gave us your phone number. I told him that was a bunch of crap because physicians don't give out patient information or patient phone numbers to illegal telemarketers. I asked him if AARP knew they were using their name to lure/scam senior citizens and he said AARP had given them their approval. I said really, well let's do a 3 way call with AARP and we will ask them. He hung up which I knew he would. They are just a group of shady thieves preying on senior citizens!!!
