call constantly...no one on line...increasingly our phones are worthless because we stop answering all calls do to waste of time...phone co. is in on this harassment for profit...we should all sue for loss of time and access
Irritating beyond belief, and exceedingly disruptive to my business phone. I don't have 15 minutes to waste on these idiots, but I am considering it, since they are taking up that much time per week. Most of the time no one is there. At times they call as early as 6 a.m. and other times 10 p.m.
I had to say hello several times before a man with an Indian accent answered claiming to want to update our complimentary listing in some obscure directory. I told him I was not interested in his scam, he said this was a legitimate business call and he kept talking over me. I finally told him our business has been on the dnc registry and he is violating it and to never call again. I am sure he will try again. Why don't they just give up and make a note that some of us are never going to do business with them? I am sick of these idiots.
They want to "verify our business info for the online business listing we have with them". After telling them that we don't have any business with them, and that I won't let them speak to the owner, they hung up on me. Now when I answer with my name, they just hang up because they know they won't get through. They've been calling for weeks, and I've always stonewalled them when they ask to speak to the owner of our business. Today these punks had the nerve to call and keep their phone on mute so that when I answered no one was there and after saying hello a few times I hung up. THEN he called back about 1 minute later and demanded to speak to my manager because he was filing a complaint about me hanging up on him. The second he got to my manager, he started giving her his stupid sales pitch.
Thanks for the awesome ideas of messing with them back.... hopefully after wasting their time, pressing & holding down buttons when they are on the line, and sending faxes to their phone lines, they will give up. Ugh... We've asked multiple times that they stop calling.
