I received the same call as you did. He did and said the same thing to me. No paperwork, haven't been served, they won't answer or when I call it says that the circuits are busy, and the caller can't be reached. 469-212-7757 Besides what is being suggested, is there anything else we can do about this???????? All these people, can we band together????
Yes, I also received the same call this morning, Saturday, June 5th, 2010. I was due ib court Monday in Dallas, Tx. Owed $ 5,000 from a Pay Day Loan Company and loan taken last year. The man was a rude, Hindu Indian who could hardly speak English, Screaming in a very threatening manner.I tried to get more information, such as Law Firm's Name what court in Dallas, Tx. and he refused to provide it, He just screamed if your not in court on Manday morning, you will have to pay $5,000, the interest and Attorney Fees due. He said he would send e-mail to show information. I would advise to not open it, Also it is a good idea to file a Police Report, and check and watch your Credit Reports.
I too received a message on my home and cell phone from a man with a "HEAVY" Indian accent.
He told me there is a law suit pending against me from an unpaid Pay Day Loan from last year. He alleged that I am being sued for $5,840.00. I do however have the option of settling the account for $622.00. and could pay it with a Wal Mart card or a pre-paid debit card???? Since I did not have one I was instructed to fax in a letter with specific information & instructions authorizing funds to be withdrawn from my bank account. This is Scary.... I asked for the name of his company and he said he was calling from Morgan & Assoc. I was able to get an address which he gave me as 2173 Tylor Rd. Dallas Tx 94297.
I did call the Texas Attorney General and they were of help. They said the best way to protect yourself is to know your rights. So that they know that they cannot ask you form money without letting you know in writing first. Don't beleive everything they say.

Wow!!! I'm new at this, and I should've kept reading the comments. Thank you Nikki!!!!! It scared me so because they have friends name, my work name, also my ssn. So off the bat I thought identity theft because I've never received a Pay Day Loan. I had applied, but never received the loan because I had no bank account.
Neka - I too receive several calls from these people on a regular basis. They call my cell phone and work number. I contacted the authorities and filed a report. I was advised to call my bank and place a security code on my account, this way if anyone ever tries to pull money they will need the code to verify they have permission. Now that I have protected myself, I still report them, but then I like to have a little fun. I sometimes call them back over and over and scream, or pretend to not understand english or something fun like that. Until something is done about them, at least I get to let a little bit of steam back off. Have a little fun with it!
