This number is associated with online insurance quotes, and unscrupulous vendors selling your number as sales leads.
I was very frustrated to be called early in the a.m. by someone trying to sell insurance, when all I wanted was a quote or email response.
One of the insurance agents was kind enough to reveal the source of the lead and it was all web leads .com ( URL with no spaces ) customer service number is 1-888-522-7355, option 5 to be removed ( or so they say ).
I got a phone call, ignored it...1 minute later it called back. After reading these post I answered and all I said was..."Can you please take me off your calling list, thank you." and he said "alrighty, thank you." Don't know what it was for or what he wanted but obviously it was a telemarketer!
I dont think calling them to remove you works. I called 1-888-522-7355, Option 0. From there choose option 5. Then it says you need to use the phone that they are calling you on in order to be removed. It then rings and goes to what I think is a VM.. it rings, beeps and nothing happens. All I wanted was a quote for home insurance.. but what a hassle!
