The Do Not Call list is not a call blocker.
The Do Not Call list works exactly as it was intended to work.
It is a list of telephone numbers owned by people who do not want telemarketing calls.
There are no names and no addresses in that list.
Legitimate companies use that list to avoid calling people who do not want to be called.
Unfortunately, there are exceptions for charities, survey companies, and political organizations.
Demand your federal Congress Critters amend to not give such exceptions.
Criminals never look at that list.
They make their calls hoping that whoever answers can be tricked into giving the criminal what he wants. The criminals make up schemes and lies to trick people.
The Do Not Call list stops criminals from calling the same way a STOP sign stops people from proceeding into an intersection.
