Recd calls from this number .. no msg left on voicemail .. now when I see the number, I let it go to voicemail all the time. Hopefully whoever it is will get the message not to call back. I am on a No Call list!!
Got a call from this number today. Did not answer. We have been getting bombarded with scam calls for several years now. Since it has been recommended not to answer these calls because they will EVENTUALLY stop, we don't. That is, until last week when a call came in but OUR name and OUR phone number showed up in the Caller ID display, so like a dumba$$, I answered it. It was "Rachel" from Card Services. Since then, we've gotten multiple calls, per day, from these scammers. Yes, we are on "Do Not Call", but trying to report is a moot point since "Do Not Call" can only crack down on legitimate businesses and these are not legitimate businesses. These calls are scammers doing all they can to get credit card information. Whether it's "Rachel" from Card Service or the Indian/Pakistanis trying to sell erectile dysfunction meds and other prescription only meds or "you won a free whatever", there is no way to stop them. And now they're getting even one step further ahead by spoofing phone numbers of yourself or numbers you frequently call/call you. I'd try call blocking, but our phone only allows 5 numbers and those five spaces are already taken and were taken about four years ago. May have to look into getting one of those fancy contraptions that can block an unlimited number of numbers.
a CRIMINAL HARASSMENT call from a CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION. Submitted to FTC for prosecution. Suggest all potential victims do likewise. If FTC gets enough complaints, perhaps they will do something about these CRIMINAL scammers.
Received a call this morning from this number. Heavy Indian accent. He had my name. Wanted to know if anyone in my family had been in an accident or had a work related injury. I asked where he was calling from. He said the Health Department. The phone said Texas, we do not live in Texas. I said we have not. He said are you sure about that? I said we were in an auto accident 2 years ago. I still did not understand why he was calling. He offered to let me speak to his Supervisor. Another man with a thick Indian accent as well asked me if I wanted compensation. I told him I already got compensated. At that point I was not going to talk to him anymore. The Health Department does not compensate people.
This "Gentleman" called and said he was from e-commerce loan company and I had applied for a loan, which I had not! Said that it was for 10,000 at 10% interest I said no do not process this, take my name out of your database. At that time he became combative and said you applied you will take this I'm pushing this through at 10% if you don't pay we will report to credit. He has called for the past 3 days and said nothing and hung up! This is harassment! What's wrong with this man and how can I stop him.
