Getting calls repeatedly on my work phone - keep punching the button that is supposed to indicate that this is not the correct number for the person they are looking for, but they keep calling. Now I just hang up.
These guys started calling me last night. I actually waited on the phone. The guy told me this was for an auto loan. I haven't had an auto loan in about 10 years. I recently started working on my credit so my guess is they got wind of it somehow and are thinking I'm more likely to settle now...
Anyway, the guy asks me to verify my address. I laugh and say, no thanks. He asks me to verify my ssn, I say, no thanks. He says we can't proceed with the call without verifying my information.
Dumb. You call me trying to get my money and then you want to try to get me all this info. You called ME. Is that not verification enough? haha
Good luck getting any $ out of me for a collection that's not even on my credit report.
