Got a call from this number - a recorded message answered me saying "Please continue to hold... Please continue to hold... Please continue to hold..." for about a minute, followed by "We apologize for the inconvenience" and a disconnection.
When I called back, they identified themselves as "1st Financial Asset Management, and claimed they were looking for someone whose name I'm not going to post here (it was someone who hasn't had this number for at least 3 years, and it wasn't anyone who I've ever gotten mail for at this address). I am sending a Cease and Desist postcard to: 3091 Governor's Lake Dr, Suite 500 Norcross GA 30071
I believe calls like this are in violation of the FCRA, as their intent is not to communicate with debtors but merely to harass them. Anyone familiar with the particulars?
Caution, 469-249-8706 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.
