This number has been calling day and night to my business number. I once pressed the #7 to be removed from the list but it is not true. The recorded message says its to UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE LISTING which is not even true.
Did not take the call....when called the number it goes straight to an outgoing message saying "Press 7 to remove your number" which is probably pointless if not a bad idea, so I did not.
From the other comments here I'm betting it was the Verify your Business on Google scam. I get several of those a day from different numbers, which I block....which also does not help since they just spoof another number the next time.
....and just moments after I posted this, another one, definitely the Google Business listing scam, from the San Francisco area: 415-319-6209.
Big fat time waster, but since I do return legitimate business calls I may miss, I check - thanks for sharing info, as when I'm on the computer if I google and get one of these review sites, I don't answer in the first place.
I've tracked down the actual company behind many of these and reported them directly to google. Google claims they investigate but I highly doubt it's high on their priority list. Probably best they can probably do is if one is actually a certified partner, to remove them from their partner listing. Am guessing the scums that are doing these calls aren't actually partners.
