Get this call on my cell several times a week. I finally decided what the hell and answered it. It was a hang up. Isn't it a shame when you have to block a whole city because of scam calls? In general if the caller I'd says unknown, name unavailable or is a number starting with a V, I assume it is a scam call and don't answer. 800- service is a mixed bag....usually a scam but legitimate credit card services uses it when they alert you to fraudulent activity. I got a Panasonic phone that is silent on the first ring so I never even hear blocked calls anymore.
