An auto dialler called. When I answered it took a few seconds to connect me to a person. I heard other people in the background. When I said "hello" again, they hung up.

Received call this morning. When I dialed back, operator says not in service. How is this possible. Sick and tired of this. Area code comes from Texas. Don't they have anything constructive to do?
Well... after receiving the call/no answer/hang-up routine about 20 times over the last several weeks I have finally found out what this is about.
Someone actually responded when I answered their call today... a sales rep by the name of Tim, representing North American Bankcard. They want to sell small business owners their merchant services.
Surprise...surprise... he hung up on me as soon as I answered "yes" to already having a solution in place. Is this an instance of a telemarketer rejecting the potential customer before they get rejected themselves?? Geesh!
Even if I needed their services, this marketing behavior would have me looking elsewhere.
