I received a phone call from a Mrs. Jackson on 04/14/16 requesting I call her back concerning a legal complaint against me. When I called back no one answered. So few mins I got the call from Mrs. Jackson stating I have a legal complaint about to be filed if I don't pay $2500 before April 29. I bought this vehicle about 8 to 10 years ago. The engine blew up so I told the lot to take it back. Well I moved to New Mexico thinking it was settled. Until I had PIs following me to make sure I didn't take the car. So back to the phone call she directed me to one of their legal advisors. I requested the claim to be mailed to me which they refused to do so saying they already sent one through the mail a month ago. I never received such mail. So she kept pressing the issue that I have to pay $2500 from this going to court. So I suggested a payment plan at first she didn't want to but later agreed. Then when I started questioning their business I was threatened with wages garish and jail time. Help plz
I received a call 4/20/16 at 7:12pm from Mrs. Jackson at this number regarding a legal complaint filed against me and she said she was with an attorney's office hired by a credit card company regarding a 11 yr old debt. She said I needed to pay the balance due to avoid going to court as the paperwork was prepared and ready to be filed with the county and so they would get me before a judge! Also threatened with liens, wages garnishment, etc. Since I could not recall 11 yrs ago and what this old debt was that she was talking about, I did not want to give out my information and that I needed some documentation of what she was speaking of. She said they had already sent something in the mail a couple of months ago and I did not receive. She kept throwing out my address and SS#. She kept pushing so I asked for documents to be emailed to me. All I got was a collection letter on Zenco Collects letterhead regarding Deville Asset Management - I don't know who these people are. Amount she gave on the phone and the amount in the letter was different. Letter gives an amount that will accept to clear everything out. No thanks.
I was working and got a voice mail by ms jackson saying i have a very urgent legal issue to talk to me about and i have to 500 pm to call back or papers will be filed in my county to take me to court finally got a hold of her and saying i owe over 2000 on a credit card i already went to court for and was paid she asked for poof so i sent the letter from the lawyer that sued me and she says that was not it it was a different card i did not have another card so i asked for poof so i get a letter with there letterhead and the account number was the same except the last digit i said it was the same and she started getting nasty with threats so i said i will see you in court and she hung up after reading these posts i feel a lot better and think they are a scam so we will see but if not willing to fight them
Don't believe legitimate debt collectors are in the practice of passing out threats or behaving in such manner. Don't beat around the bush with fraudsters, either. There's always a potential of the conversation becoming hostile. Without any kind of answer on your end, this "Ms. Jackson" is unable to harm anyone. In what manner was this letter delivered? If it came via email, or fax, tough beans for this swindler.
