BEWARE!!! Same as everyone else. Thick accent man called 3 times and left the same EXACT message each time. Claiming to be an agent from US Treasury and threatening fines, jail time if no response to his call. My wife did talk to him once and suspected it was a scam. He asked for our phone number. When she reminded him that he called us, he threatened her saying she needed to cooperate or face criminal penalties and fines.
Not possible. Callers are hard core Indian scammer/extortionists located in India and Pakistan. Invest iin a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
Calling me way before 9am in the morning (7:10 am)! I imagine that 469-9086 is a spoofed number and some overseas jack*ss (or maybe it is some jack*ss locally ... who really knows) is calling to extort money. Luckily, I do not bother with numbers that I do not recognize ..... but ... I would have loved to climb through the phone and slap whoever was calling. My phone was on "silent" so I was not bothered by it as it did not ring and I just now discovered the call. I just don't like criminals calling me. They would do well to leave me alone. :)
Heavy middle eastern accent, said something about me owing money. I told them to come arrest me... that I wasn't paying. She said it sounded like I needed to be arrested. I agreed and hung up, then blocked the number.
I got the same call. I returned it and some Indian lady said I have a federal warrant out for my arrest. I asked her for verification of who she was and she said her name was Officer Ashley Scott badge number 117328. I then asked her to verify my ss#. She said she had it but couldn't give it to me over the phone, which is bs. I've never had a problem like that before. Then she said if I didn't talk to her she would have the police come pick me up within 45 minutes. I told her to forward me the info she had on me and she said she couldn't that we were past the point of exchanging info. I told her to send the police and pick me up. I've been here for 2 hours and nobody has shown up. Probably prepping SWAT!
