First received call from Pre Trial Litigators from a so called law firm of Anderson & Baker. Returned call & got a Ms Phillips who couldn't pronounce affidavit. She told me that Advance America was suing me for bank fraud from 11/2012. I called Advance America both Locally & online they stated locally that my account had long been paid in full. Advance America online stated they had never had an account with me and provided me with their partners in lending so to speak, I called them and again was told that my accounts with them were paid off and wanted to loan me more money which I declined.
I was given a case# by Pre trial litigators by a Mark Drecker who said Ms. Phillips was new and had probably given me the wrong info as they don't I've that info out. They would not tell me who was suing me for bank fraud etc etc. But did say the account had been turned over to them by United First Bank. I could find no bank by that name online. Variations but not that specific name.I called a number of times leaving my phone number & when my call was returned I was told that Drecker & Phillips were unavailable. I then was connected to a Scott Davis 469-402-0540 in Texas who wanted me to go to Western Union & gave me instructions as to what to do & the amount due was now about $1,900 (which I don't have). I had gone through a bad patch in November 2012, was out of savings etc & living in cheap motels so thats how got stuck in the Payday loan cycle. Scott Davis told me the money was deposited to my checking account on 11/7/2012 and would have been taken out 2 weeks later. I looked at my bank statement and I did have a deposit on 11/7/12 and 2 weeks later on 11/21/12 the money was taken out by Cashnet USA the same company that deposited on 11/7/12 & a lending partner of Advance America. I called them and they too said I owed them no money and would I like to borrow again. I thanked them & declined. I called Scott Davis back and told him this & he started to get angry with me. I told him my attorney told me not to pay anything it sounded like a scam and try & get the paperwork. All trough this they would provide no paperwork. By them I mean Anderson & Baker who say they are pre trial litigators and his Scott Davis. However, this time Scott Davis demanded the name and phone # of my attorney which I gave him. Funny huh? One minute they demand a fax from attorney stating he represents me and this time when I said I thought they were scamming me he wants the name and phone # of my attorney & boy was he nasty. I've tried to look them up online and they appear to be a private detective firm in Rockwell, Texas. Everyday payday loan company I borrowed from say they were paid back and tried to loan me more money. Anderson and Baker are located in Ohio 440-210-9666 and this guy Scott Davis is in Texas and won't give you the name of his firm.Except when I said I was going to borrow the money and he provided directions and the firm name I was to send to through Western Union was Innovation Resources and to put the code city as Florida when I was filling out the Western Union paperwork. I'm so upset I don't know which way is up and Im ill also.
For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employees threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe). Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested. They threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.
Some of the people they are calling do not owe a debt. Others they are calling have already settled their debt with the organization who owns the accounts. Even if you do owe a debt, do not be deceived by the actions of this group. Many of the accounts they are attempting to collect they do not own. In other words, if you pay these people, that is not going to clear your debt with its rightful owner.
Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot) or Atlanta GA (often a parking lot near the bus station or a Peachtree Road Address). They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The scammers are using the following business names (and there are many others, and they seem to create new ones daily). They will normally answer the call back number as “Investigations”. They often call people with a recording claiming they are looking for a "defendant"

Don't pay them a dime!!! Fell for the same scam innovation resources too out of fl I have $1400 western union receipts to prove it SCAM!!!!!! Don't pay anything !!! I changed my number because I got scammed in March and again last week they tried to anyway. So I just changed my number .
I have been receiving calls from a 918-201-2022 number concerning a case against me. So I finally picked up and was transferred to a man named Scott Davis who said I owed $1750 however he would never give me the name of the company that I supposedly owed money to. So I told him if he could get the company to send it to me in writing, I could investigate the claim. He said he needed to speak with the company on this and get back to me. He called me back from 469-402-0540 which I knew something was off since he initially contacted me from a OK number. I googled and found this site! You all just saved me from making a big mistake! These scam artists are getting crafty out here!
