Received two calls within two hours today... went to this site and reported this as a 460 number... then when the third call came in even as I finished that 'report' under that 'wrong area code', I finally realized that my bad eye site had interpreted the 468 as 460. My phone identifies nothing beyond a telephone number. I do an internet search, and the number does not show up for Canada. May be very well coming out of the states BUT, if it is, then the callers need to be aware of this: This IS CRIMINAL activity under Canadian Criminal code. WHY? because any person calling another, on 'supposed business', MUST identify themselves or they are engaging in harassment.... and I will gladly, in time, extradite the 'owners'/overseers of such activities to see them face trial here. I do not care what American law reads. I have read too many Canadian ones so, when I phone this number two times in a row and get sent into a circle of 'press 1 if you want your name removed' AND THERE IS NO identification of whom is doing this call, it IS NO DIFFERENT than someone showing up at your door, sticking their foot in it and not telling you the purpose of their visit. THIS IS YOUR PRIVATE PHONE!. It is THE DOOR to your personal information in this modern era. THIS IS, THEREFORE, Criminal invasion of your space and people need to start standing up against this kind of criminal behaviour. Write to your 'legislators' and complain about it or this nonsense will continue until these people are actually at your door!
They hang up real quick when you tell them you employment has to do with illegal activity-make a a good story while wasting their time. Telling them you need money for your bond because you are going to jail for life is a good story as well. Or if you have the time to waste have them send you their application for credit approval and then fill it out with false information and email it back. Having a dummy email account is great for this. The keys is to never use your real name and don't sing the paperwork at the bottom.
So, I'm not the only one getting these calls - I am trying to work and my personal phone keeps going off...not my business phone!! All morning...Once, I leave the office if they call I have a few things to say -- I won't type them -- but this is not how you do business -- bugging the hell out of hard working people... I hope they call while I'm lunch....
