I belive this is a craigslist scamer.I had some jewlery posted for $750.00 and recived a tex saying he was intrested and the price was fine and he would send me a cashiers check I could cash at my bank.I responded and stated it would have to clear before i would releace the jewlery.He texed back that when i cashed it i was to contact him and he would have an service pick up the jewlery I ansered ok.In around 15seconds he texed back that the check was issued to me for $2000.00 i was still reading it when his next tex came saying i should cash the check and have the ballance ready $1250.00 with the jewlery ready for his service to pickup. I dont know if anyone would fall for this scam but decided to post this even if it only helps one other person.
i kinda did fall for this same scam. i got his check this morning and i deposited it this morning.. my item was 450. and he sent me 2450... now that its in my bank account. i asked the bank teller if it was a real check. he said yes, and even called the bank who said the check was good, and that the account it came from was open and active. i just dont know what will happen from here

Had him send his check directly to the Feds. Haha jokes on you [***]. At a minimum you're out a check and postage. I win.
Just got a text from this number +1 (469) 444-0877, though I would Google is seeing that I have had such bad luck trying to sell my sofas on Craigslist. Just another scammer... AWESOME!
