This is a debt collector. Threatened me with all kinds of stuff. Said he represents CRS Would not give me his real name or address. Notify the FTC in Washington, DC immediately. Its A Texas phone number. He's breaking the law. Notify his State's attorney General (Texas) I do not have any debt.
CRS ? Texas? Machine Gun delivery. Did not even know who he was talking to? Called my work....which is illegal. Very obnoxious. The person he was looking for does not even work here, but he divulged personal information anyway. Would not give his real name or address he was calling from. People like this are "bottom feeders" who try to intimidate people who cannot defend themselves. Notify the Federal Trade Commission & The State Attorney General. The CFPB would be very advisable to notify. Get their name and address if they call again.
Received a call from this number recently. The caller said he was from CRS (I'm guessing Commercial Recovery Systems) and he said his name was "Mr Hume" I think - it wasn't really a clear message. I have dealt with this company before and I ended up sending them a letter to request more information about this supposed "debt" that came across their desk and that if they didn't not hear from me, they were going ahead with a lawsuit. Well, they were given 30 days to send their response, which I did not receive and they had to remove this "debt" from my credit report. Now here they are again, different phone number, same company, same spiel about some "debt" that I owe and that, if I don't get in touch with them within 24 hours, they will be sending it to my local circuit court. Very annoying people, very untrue info - they seem to pray on ancient debts that are over the statute of limitations for collection - zombie debt collection agencies.
