An automated message was left on my answering machine from Commercial Recovery Systems. The message had some private information on an attempt to collect a debt from somebody that is not me. The message kept implying that since I didn't hang up, that I was the person they were looking for. I guess it never dawned on them to require the answerer to hit a key so they know they got an actual person and not a machine.

Same as Dan. We have received at least 4 phone calls from this number. It is for my husband. I have answered 3 and one was left on the machine. I want them to stop!
A Mr. Perez called just now and identified himself as from CRS and associates. He claimed he had a default judgement on me on his desk.
I don't know how he can have one without me knowing since any court rendered judgement has to be sent to me via certified letter. And I haven't received any court or legal notices regarding a warrant of debt being served for years. We do have outstanding credit card debt that was charged off and the statute of limitations has expired on them too. These debts are 10 years or older.
I have spoken with 2 (supposedly) different people from this number. I was at first ignoring calls from this number as my ex-husband had warned me after they called him looking for me. The first person I spoke with claimed I should have received a subpoena already and that since I luckily hadn't he would be able to help me and mediate for me with my CC company. I told him no thanks. Today someone called offering to meet with me at my work saying he was trying to serve me papers because I was being sued. He said if I had any questions I could call the company suing me and then gave me the exact number he was calling from. WTH? I asked him for the case number of the lawsuit and he couldn't provide it and quickly hung up before I could tell him not to call me any more. He even had the name of the court wrong. He kept referring to the City name, and the debt is too large to be filed in city court . . .
Same complaints as stated. A Jorge Perez, rude .. have asked not to call again .. calling the wrong # ..
The # he called is on the Do Not Call List ..
I will file a complaint.
