My wife got a call from "Jake" claiming he was with AT&T. Asked if I worked with ICI. My wife thought something was fishy and did not give any info out. Told her that he really needed to speak with me and gave a call back number of 469-521-0695. Sounded like a scam. From the previous post it is a scam.
Someone identifying himself as "Jake" called, gave a callback number as 469-521-0365, and asked for a callback. When I did so, he claimed to be representing Fidelity Communications. He further claimed he was trying to settle an outstanding debt of $212.74.
Fidelity does exist. In fact, there are two: One's a cable/Internet company in Missouri, the other's a nationwide business telephone system vendor. However, I've never done business with either of them. In fact, I never heard of them before "Jake" mentioned them.
When so informed, "Jake" simply apologized and hung up.
I have every reason to believe this is either a scam, an unethical collections agency, or both. I did find some BBB info on NRS as follows.
Nationwide Recovery Systems
2304 Tarpley Rd., Suite 134
Carrollton, TX 75006-2470
(972) 418-8572
May Justice find these 'people' (I use the term loosely).

Jake left a voicemail saying he's with the NRS and he needs to speak with me urgently on a "very important matter". Sounds like BS. Glad I checked the forum. check comments on this other number.. sounds like the same people: 1-469-521-0539
Person also named "Jake" called me from this number also. He claimed on the mesage to be from the IRS! i knew that was wierd, so i did not call back, and checked here first. Glad i did! ignore calls from this number.
