Sounds similar to a number that just called me but it was 469-522-2018. I think it is the same company called CRS. Called about some affidavit and complaint.
Just got that same lady Kelly today. I have a vehicle that was repossessed years ago. I did some research, and found that they can only collect on a repo'd vehicle, four (4) years from the date of default. This is in AZ, so if you are in another state, you can research it for your state. The A.R.S. number for this statute is 47-2725, and states:
An action for breach of any contract must be commenced within four years after the cause of action has been accrued.
Tha cause of action accrues no later that when the vehicle is repossessed.
Called me this morning (on my cell phone no less) and told me the call was on a "federally recorded line" and that was "required to take my statement in a complaint that was made against me".
Called me today I asked kelly what was this about. She got smart and asked was I lawyer I said No. I asked her what kind of attorney office is this and she said I'm goin to hung up.
