A call came in from this number. He said he was with the Department of Couriers. He said he was hired (by Colonial Legal) to call and get a phone number and address where they could serve my husband with court papers, as they have tried twice before and after a third attempt a judgment would be granted automatically. I questioned him about being with "The Department of Couriers" as there is no such governmental agancy and told him that there was also nothing on any docket with my husband's name and in order to get papers served, they would have to have a court case number, not just a file number. He sounded very nervous and told me he thought he would be able to hold off the third service attempt for a couple of hours, but that was all.
COLLECTION AGENCY or SCAM ATTEMPT!!! Either way, that number is going on my call block immediately!
I just received a call from this number but rejected the call. The woman on my voicemail said she was with the "Department of Couriers" also. Mentioned serving court papers and gave a FILE # as well, not a court case number. Sounds really fishy to me. I'm glad I found this testimonial and that somebody else can attest to the same experience.
Most likely a collection agency or scam. Do not give out your personal information.
If it's a collection agency, they must be hiring morons that call people using a fake ID. They are frauds, and no one should believe them or their lies.
