SCAM ALERT! This number was on the caller ID/answer machine but the return call #s given were (844) 652-7086 & 657-7086 claiming warrant for unknown named person needed to be taken care of today or else. I have unlisted phone # and this person is using Google Voice to place this call. Hilda Gotwell/ State Court Processing/ Colin-Burns/case number for release of criminal complaints all mentioned in message.
Other sites have reported this 844-652-7086. The call themselves Cole and Barnes LLC. No record of such a company that I can find. Apparently they go around calling people telling them there are criminal charges against them and you have to call this number in order to straighten it out. Total scam. No private debt collector has anything to do with the criminal justice system. There's no way you can "get out " of a criminal charge by paying a debt collector.
I called that 844-652-7086 out of curiosity. The gentlemen who answered refused to give me any information. Became hostile super-quick; which tells me that he or they are very aware of he scam they are pulling.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. If you can find them.
