I received a call from this number convincing me to purchase college prep materials. I have since been informed that this might be a hoax and have tried calling the number back but get no answer just goes into busy signal. Does anyone have further details how to contact someone from this company or number?
I also received a call from this number. The guy said my child had requested help with SAT and ACT scores for college. I asked when he had requested this info and he didn't have a clear answer or didn't even know my child's name. I felt like it was a scam from the beginning and then when I told him that I didn't have a child in high school he hung up. Please beware!!
Sounds like a scam and just reported them on the Do Not Call complaint page. A man claimed he was my son's counselor (call came from TX and I live in NY) and wanted to send me 12 CD ROMs for SAT prep. Said we wouldn't be charged if we sent them back in 14 days. He tried throwing a lot of information at me like SAT times and dates. My son is too young to take the SATs. When I asked too many questions they hung up. Tell them you are reporting them. They also call from several other 800 numbers.
My husband received a call from this number yesterday stating that the person was my child's SAT counselor and we have a scheduled SAT test date of June 11th. Which we do not. I was told to google this number and I now know this looks like a scam. My child does not have an SAT counselor.
