Left a message on my DNC home phone that I was in trouble with the IRS and I needed to call a number to sort it out. The CID read "DIR ASST TX"! The well-known IRS scam, this time using a criminal with an authentic American accent thinking it would be easier to hook victims. Blocked the number.
Received a call from 469-555-0133 DIR ASST TX today and I went ahead and answered the call. No one on the other end. After reading the other comments, I went ahead and blocked the number from my phone.
