Tired of Pay Day Loan Scams
Just got a call from this number.  I do not answer calls that I do not recognize or out of state.  This one came from Dallas.  I'm from Maryland.  They left the following V/M message.

"The new year is here again and we have some great news for you. You've recently applied for a payday loan. Our lenders had given your application a second look and you're now approved for up to $1350. We help this additional cash will help you reach your new year goals to collect your funds go to our platinum members approved site at www.New year's pay.com and use your approval code of 2332. Again that's new years pay.com approval code 2332. This preapproval code expires in 24 hours if you don't claim your funds. Happy new years from New Year's pay.com."

I HAVE NEVER AND WILL NEVER APPLY FOR A SO CALLED PAY DAY LOAN.....SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

READ THE FINE PRINT!!
I just received the exact same v/m  word-for-word including the code except the call came from a different number: 856-441-6891. When I went to the site I knew immediately it was a fake/scam. First, the McAfee logo is partially covering the company's name. Second, you can't click on the McAfee logo to verify the company's actually secured by them (this doesn't always mean it's not a fake. They could have a fake verification link or it could mean they securely send your info to their fake company). Third, the graphics are extremely poor. Fourth, there are several grammatical errors in the fine print such as, "newyearspay.com IS NOT IN NO WAY", "you are NO OBLIGATION to sign any agreement", "THEY ALL A short term loan... TILL". Finally, there are statements within their disclaimer that should cause anyone to be concerned, "Our privacy policy may change without any notice", "your information will be transferred to lenders and 3rd parties", and "can not guarantee you will be transferred to a lender by completing an application".  THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!

I just got the exact phone call moments ago! Darn, I was really hoping this one was real
Has anyone actually got a loan from this place? I wonder what their "name" was before the scammers came up with "New Year's Pay.com?

Not sure if you are a troll or just not  tracking.  The person you are responding to was exposing a criminal enterprise. It is a scam.
My advice is go to the wedding, and smile about how you missed getting caught up in a loan that runs about about 300% - 600% interest, that you will never, ever, ever, be able to repay or be rid of.

You will lose your car, your house and your retirement.  If you are working, these scammers will call your job and try to get you fired.  They will shame you to your family and friends.  I know you did not ask, but I am telling you.  This is scam.  Do NOT get a payday loan.  Not this one, not any of them.  Be Smart - Be Safe!!
