I don't know who called. Answered it, but I didn't say anything. I started hitting dial numbers and as soon as I did, CLICK, they hung up. Maybe they thought the call was being traced.
Number (Area Code) is blocked. This number has called before and I checked the call log and there it was. I used to get many telemarketing/scam calls. My phone is via cable and I use a Panasonic telephone that has a setting to disable the first ring. My computer does not have a voice modem, so I purchased one for $10. The software I use is called Phonetray Free and works great. After the first call, a number is blocked and then no more calls. Each call is in a log that I can double check. The software also allows blocking of entire AREA CODES (like New York area, Miami, California, etc.). Only spoofed numbers can pass but since most spoofers are not too bright, they use the same number therefore no problem. My call volume has dropped by 99%. Phonetray Free has been replaced by Phonetray Pro from Softonic ($30). The old Phonetray free (1.39) is still available on the internet. I have no personal stake in any of this.
Called today between 10 + 11 AM, I answer it, then no one says anything. I just don't get it, why even bother to call if you're NOT going to say something; maybe he/ she didn't like my voice enough ??? Have been getting calls on auto warrantee offers just recently, & sadly, they are most probably scams, esp. since the 2 cars in question auto warrantees BOTH ended YEARS AGO !!! Hello DALLAS !!!
