Tired of the b.s. I rec'd this local call to me & just missed it, thinking it may be a client I ret'd it only to hear an outgoing message in a foreign accent, which ended "for English, press 1". I pressed 1 and was then prompted to "please enter your card number"... wtf?? (read my name)

I have had several calls from this number in the last few weeks, and each time there is a VM message with envelope information but no actual message. Today, I missed the call by less than 2 minutes, so I called the number back. The phone is answered by a recorded female voice speaking in some incomprehensible language that could be anything from Farsi to extraterrestial, then another recorded female voice says "press 2 for English". I press 2 and another recorded female voice says "Enter your card number followed by the # key". I entered a string of zeroes and pressed # and get the response that I have entered an incorrect number of digits and to try again. After a few repeats of this idiot exchange, the same recorded female voice informs me that they are having difficulty completing the call and I should try again later. Well folks, that made me angry, and I am going to find out what organization is perpetrating this nonsense, and I'm going to get in their face. I have come to the conclusion that the only problem with the telephone system and the internet is that rude, stupid human beings running some kind of scam are allowed to use both.
