I have had over 25 callers blocked same story. They call ask for my name then hang up.
What i found on my cell phone was a bit shocking. My firewall blocked port udp 8192
which is SpyTech Phone Service, also Sophos remote management system.
So the Indian Dudes calling you are asking to confirm via voice that you have your phone, they in turn email that to their customers showing that their remote software is in fact working. Here is a link to the software Oceans Edge. This is law enforcements way of not getting a warrant. Also see the ACLU website link. Save your wifi logs and communicate with your ACLU in your region. This should be treated as a freedom of privacy class action law suit.

Get a firewall with deep packet inspection so that you can view all the traffic coming and going from your smart phone while your on your WiFi network at home.

caller trying to get IT. Had the name of someone that does not work here. Told them not to call back and to remove this number.

Called asking for someone with my first name, a different last name. Said their name was Craig, they buffoonishly asked for my first name and last name Smith (how bogus!). They apologized for the wrong number.

Someone just called my phone and hung up. But the stupid person called my work number. I work for the federal government, so I'm going to let them handle it. HA!!!
