Called me saying they had legal documents to deliver requiring a signature. When I asked when he said he didn't know but had a reference number & a phone number for me to call. I said why don't you just call me when you figure out a delivery time. He hung up on me. Never stated his name. Never stated the company he was calling with. Called the number back and no one answered.
Someone named Ashley continuously calls to say she is coming to serve legal documents and gives a reference number & phone number to call if you have questions. When calling the number, it is a supposedly old debt that they are trying to collect on. She is not a process server. She likely works for the collection agency. It is another one of their scare tactics to get you to cooperate with them. Real process servers don't call you. If in doubt, check your county records to see if any papers have been documented.
