It is illegal for a debt collection agency to use threats to scare people into paying a debt. NEVER pay any caller who refuses to MAIL proof that the debt is yours and that they have the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to mail this documentation is a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and means you owe the caller nothing, per the FDCPA.
They have said they are going to arrest me and have a warrant for my arrest! They are dirty crooks! Do not respond to them! I have reported them to the Attorney General's Office in Atlanta.
