They got me. I am ashamed to say so. But the call just terrified me so much that I couldn't really stop to think clearly until after the fact.
1. I did not recall taking out a payday loan in 2011 as they had claimed.
2. They sent their Docusign email to an entirely different email address than I had provided to them.
That felt fishy, so I came online and found alllllllll of these notes about it being a scam. Even more damning, when I checked my transaction list for my account online the next day it listed Inatalie Inc in Atlanta, GA as the party collecting. The ONLY Inatalie Inc I could find when I googled that name was a hair salon.
By the way, here is the information for Inatalie-Inc salon which happens to be located in Atlanta, GA. I can't say if they're the people behind this for sure since the Inatalie Inc listed on my pending transaction list might be something entirely different, but I have a gut feeling that these are the creeps behind it.

When I called to make some inquiries it went to voicemail.
Anyhow, I am currently disputing the charges against my card from them. (oh yes, and they are trying to get further unauthorized money out of my account. My card has now been cancelled, but in the space of about 48 hours they have attempted to charge $700 three times, $400 once, and $300 once.)
Please please please, do NOT give these fear-mongering, scum-suckings cockroaches anything! I know that it is scary when they call you up talking about fraud and jail and everything like that, but they cannot do anything to you. I feel just sick over this whole thing. Just sick.
