Claims to be from Nebraska, wanting to buy my vehicle and have it shipped to him. Claims that he will use a "private courier" to do so. Most people would call and talk to you if they wanted to make a transaction like that. They would also expect videos and documentation of the vehicle in question. Lastly, they would label them as "shipper" since here in the U.S, a courier is generally someone shipping paper or small package items.
Same here! Person with this number Says his name is Richard - Same exact story here, offering to buy my car and send a "courier" to pick it up - also has terrible grammar. "I will like to proceed with the payment today" and asking for my PayPal information. This is not a rare car, so why send a "courier" all the way from Nebraska? Clearly a scam.
Same here... I actually recevied several texts... one form Richard and one from David... both the same story... out of reach and wants to have a shipper pick it up. This guy wanted me to give him my checking account number so he could wire the funds from his account. LOL...yeah right. Its amazing how many scam "sob strories" there are out there. I have encountered probably 5 different stories with some using their husbands recent death, some using the military to put them "Out of reach". Beware of all that are not local and want to come actually SEE and DRIVE the vehicle.
In shopping for a vehicle before putting mine for sale I found several that claimed to be local for me. But when i inquired about the vehicle they had moved to Omaha, Nebraska, or Macon, GA. or North Dakota. They all had similar stories of husband dying in the last few months and the vehicle has bad memories. Wanted me to send the money through paypal and they would ship the vehicle to me and give me 5 days to decided whether i wanted it or not... YEAH RIGHT.
