Scam company using off shore call center -- calls house multiple times per day from 470-616-3014. Finally answered tonight (Saturday 7.45pm) -- Woman in what sounded like a boiler room call center -- lots of callers in background -- started a spiel about she was offering me the same deal they called about last year, with full duct cleaning etc, and nothing would be due until after service performed. I asked her the name of her company and their address.... she said Georgia Duct Cleaning and they were located at 2500 Chatahoochee Ave, Atlanta, GA., I asked for their phone number and she said 470-499-6014. I said that I'd call direct to their office if I wanted to schedule anything. I used my Skype account and called the number. Got another woman -- East Asian Accent -- and sounded like the same call center noise. I live in Atlanta, and there is a Chattahoochee Ave -- I asked her where she was sitting and she said why does that matter. I said that I didn't trust she was in the US. She said that she was in the Chattahoochee Ave location (it is an industrial, warehouse area with very few 'corporate or HQ offices and would NOT have a call center there -- especially for a local duct cleaning company. I said that I thought she was NOT in Atlanta, and that's why I wanted to know -- she said, yes I'm at Chattahoochee Ave. I said OK, what time is it there and what is the weather like right now ? She gave me the correct time (easy to do, and they probably have their scam callers dialing certain area codes at the same time), but could not tell me the weather -- I said that if you were in Atlanta, and on Chattahoochee Ave, you'd be able to tell me the weather -- since she could not, I knew it was absolutely a SCAM. Told her I'd be calling the Consumer Affairs department in the Attorney General's office to file a complaint .;...
